What is xTrack and how does it work?

xTrack is an edge-AI shopper intelligence system. It uses AI-powered cameras installed at store entrances and key zones to anonymously count visitors, analyze demographics (age group, gender), track dwell time, and generate heatmaps — all processed on-device with no video ever leaving your store.

How accurate is xTrack people counting?

xTrack achieves over 98% accuracy in people counting, even in high-traffic environments. Advanced algorithms handle crowds, occlusions, and varying lighting conditions to deliver reliable data you can base business decisions on.

Does xTrack store video footage or identify individuals?

No. All video analysis happens on-device in real-time. No faces, identities, or video footage are stored or transmitted. The system only sends aggregated numerical data (counts, demographics percentages, heatmap coordinates) to the cloud. Privacy is built into the architecture from the ground up.

What insights can I get from xTrack?

xTrack provides real-time and historical footfall counts, conversion rate (visitors-to-transactions when combined with POS data), visitor demographics breakdown, dwell time analysis, zone-level heatmaps, and trend comparisons across stores, time periods, and promotional campaigns.

xPilot is a cloud-managed IoT connectivity platform for retail. It combines a 5G + Wi-Fi 6 converged gateway with remote device monitoring, automated failover, and centralized fleet management through Vortex Cloud.

xPilot 3 Pro has two key uptime features: Automatic 5G failover that instantly switches from broadband to cellular backup when the primary connection fails, ensuring 99.99% availability. And remote management that lets you diagnose, reboot, and reconfigure devices without sending a technician.

Can xPilot work with existing networking equipment?

Yes. xPilot can be deployed alongside existing network infrastructure. The xPilot 3 Pro gateway acts as a converged edge device, reducing cabling and complexity. For full remote monitoring, we also support connecting third-party devices to Vortex Cloud.

How quickly can xPilot be deployed across multiple locations?

xPilot can be deployed across 100 locations in under two weeks. No specialized hardware engineers are needed — store staff can follow the plug-and-play setup guide, and Vortex Cloud handles the rest.

What is Vortex Cloud?

Vortex Cloud is the centralized management platform for all xRetails solutions. It provides a single dashboard to monitor device health, view real-time analytics and reports, manage alerts and notifications, and configure settings across your entire store network.

Is Vortex Cloud accessible on mobile devices?

Yes. Vortex Cloud is a responsive web application accessible from any device — desktop, tablet, or smartphone. Store managers can check footfall data, and receive alerts on the go.

What kind of data and reports does Vortex Cloud provide?

Vortex Cloud offers customizable dashboards with real-time footfall counters, conversion rate charts, demographic breakdowns, store comparison views, historical trend analysis, device health status, and automated weekly/monthly PDF reports.

What does "edge AI" mean in retail?

Edge AI means artificial intelligence processing happens directly on the device (e.g., the xTrack Dome camera) rather than sending data to the cloud for analysis. This eliminates latency, reduces bandwidth costs, and most importantly, ensures customer data never leaves your store.

How is xRetails different from cloud-based retail analytics?

Traditional cloud-based retail AI sends video footage to remote servers for analysis, creating data privacy risks, latency, and ongoing bandwidth costs. xRetails processes everything on-device at the edge. This means zero video transmission, instant insights, lower operating costs, and no compliance headaches. We believe privacy-first AI is the only sustainable approach for retail.

How long does it take to get started with xRetails?

Most customers go from sign-up to live data within one week. xTrack Dome cameras can be installed by store staff in minutes. xPilot gateways are plug-and-play. Vortex Cloud is configured remotely by our onboarding team. We provide full training and documentation for your team.

Do I need technical staff to deploy and maintain xRetails?

No. xRetails solutions are designed for non-technical store operators. xTrack Dome cameras mount with a standard bracket and connect via Power over Ethernet (PoE). xPilot gateway connects to existing broadband and power. All device management is handled remotely through Vortex Cloud.

What support does xRetails offer?

We offer email and phone support during business hours (SGT), with priority support options for enterprise customers. Our onboarding team provides remote setup assistance, training sessions for your team, and documentation for your operations manual. For hardware issues, we offer advance replacement within 1-2 business days.

Can xRetails integrate with my existing POS or ERP system?

Yes. Vortex Cloud provides API access and webhook integrations. Our team works with you to connect xTrack footfall data with your POS system for conversion rate calculations, and to push alerts and reports to your existing workflows.
